Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Heather is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has a passion for serving the mental health needs of clients across the lifespan. Through her years of nursing practice, she understands the impact of trauma and lifestyle on overall health and well-being.
During her years as a Registered Nurse, Heather served the needs of the vulnerable and pregnant populations. She became aware of the negative impact and side effects that a medication only approach had on her clients and families. Heather became dedicated to doing better for her clients, by spending more time with them to understand their personal goals and experiences and find natural and comprehensive ways to support their unique needs.
Heather has experience and education in all areas of Women’s health, nutrition, mental health, bonding behaviors, parenting, communication, pre/postnatal care, interpersonal violence, whole family support, infant to toddler development, and much more. Heather has been able to support many cultures and believes in incorporating one’s beliefs into their healthcare experience.
Heather feels every individual comes with their own story and unique needs, and should be treated accordingly. She also feels that true informed consent means evaluating all options for treatment, including alternative options of care. She is very passionate about a holistic approach and she is excited to help support her clients in finding optimal health.
